I have the card you made for me with this image, sitting in front of me right now!
And it looks great in the crop for IF 'Pick of the Week'. Well done.

  6. So glad you were chosen as "pick of the week" or I'd have missed this one! (I didn't get to the end-of-the-week entries in time.) As a chicken owner,I adore this. Love her hat, and the use of the red!

  11. I'm too young to have done this yet I did. I have stacked stooks like that chicken and I have thrashed said stooks with only my knees keeping me from the thresher blades (14 years old).

It was for a convent, the nuns who were behind the times. We didn't use a billhook, there was a reaper pulled by a tractor, but really it was made to be pulled by a horse.

This illustrations is a remembrance, mainly of the farmer who was grumpy but not in a wheelchair. http://www.stooryduster.co.uk/stook

  12. Gosh, that was a bit of a shock! Finding that I was Pick of the Week. Especially, when I was the penultimate 'poster' for the word. It was worth doing!

Thanks for all your comments. Hope I haven't given Alan nightmares. Hope you had SOME good memories...
